Enjoying the Mystery

Ocassionally, it is important to take a moment … look around … and really enjoy the universe and all her mystery. I was looking at the moon last night (the closest it will be to the earth for another 20 years or so) and it just seemed so magical. The clouds were passing in front of it … its tones were changing from white light to a honey color. It was magnificent. I wonder if taking a moment to simply notice the moon could be the most important moment of our day?

I love the Moon. She is my muse. I love your haiku.

Beautiful haiku! I wish we could have seen the moon that night…it was covered in clouds. But I looked at tons of photos of it!

I got home late that night after work and for some reason I ended up outside my house staring up at the moon wondering why it looked so big. It was crazy how fast the clouds were moving that night.

A quiet moment to appreciate something as simple as the moon is a humbling experience. It makes all the distractions during the day insignificant.

To me and my wife, walking in nature is a way we enjoy the “mystery”. It gives us time to let go of our personal story and just be. Nothing clears the mind like a good walk.

    Thanks for this post!
