If you keep a situation from happening using your mind “angle mentally,” then there will be no need to throw a punch or “angle physically.” Does that go along with the whole Neutralizing/harmonizing and finding the way to peace thing? Seems along those lines.
I have always loved this!!! It resonates with me when I’m in difficult situations, or find myself faced with someone wants to compete (mostly in conversational situations, these days…lol!). As with so many things…this lesson is so simple, and so true!!

Another great example how martial arts is more than just “punching and kicking”. It is the art of living and interacting with others. Thanks for this tid-bit!
