I find this very useful when teaching kids! But at the same time, it is very useful to know that when you become divided, you are easily defeated.

Dividing your opponent is certainly a useful strategic tool- whether in personal confrontation, war, politics, business…or teaching kids. The idea would be to fight two weak opponents separately and ideally set them against each other, rather than one large, strong individual opponent- or two strong opponents on two fronts.
