Three Thoughts

Do not allow your mind to
interfere with your actions.

Do not allow your emotions to
interfere with your mind.

Do not allow your ego to
interfere with your Soul.

While I teach and have written about these concepts for many years, I believe it will be a lifetime before I can fully benefit from them – if ever. Such simple ideas; such durability of importance. They are easy to read. They are easy to remember. They are rather simple to grasp at the surface levels. However, as one meditates on them, deeper and richer meanings arise making them powerful lessons for kung fu and life, both.

These are hugely important lessons for me as I am a very emotional person. And I tend to project my emotions outward onto everyone around me, and take everything very personally, and next thing I know…the ego is DEFINITELY in the way of the soul! Thank you for this…

Aha. I decided to read this blog today. Yep. The message is clear. I am highly emotional. Working on centering and balancing.
